Social Media is a powerful platform. It’s so powerful it could destroy relationships and friendships. In some cases, people commit suicide because it’s just too much. Indeed, there are more critics in the world than encouragers.
Sad, but true.
We’ve seen a gazillion of ads online that touched our hearts. But the latest Thailand video is probably the most relevant one.
The video shows how powerful social media is. How people can manipulate the story and brainwash the people’s intelligence. At the start of the video, a lady who is dressed as a rich person with two bodyguards beside her entered a wet market.
She looked like a typical landowner. The people looked scared as she gets nearer to them.
She approached one stall and yelled at the vendor.
Apparently, she was being filmed by one of the vendors and eventually uploaded the video to YouTube.
Even without knowing what really happened, the guy still uploaded it with a title: “Boss Da busts up market.”
As usual, the people online who know nothing about what truly happened (sounds, familiar?) commented and shared the video that eventually went viral.
When it finally reached the person involved, she felt disappointed and sad. She was criticized and bullied online even though the people don’t know her.
Moral of the story:
Do not judge anyone with one-sided stories. Don’t let these circumstances change the way you think and view things. Stay humble, grind hard. Have an open-mind for a better society.
Admittedly, it’s so easy to share viral videos and comment on them. Remember having an open mind is like using a parachute. It only works when you open it.
Watch and hopefully, you learn a thing or two from this powerful video by CP All and 711.
Love and spread the word.
